1. Go, tell it on the mountain,
over the hills and everywhere.
Go, tell it on the mountain
that Jesus Christ is born.
2. While shepherds kept their watching
over silent flocks by night,
behold throughout the heavens,
there shone a holy light.
3. Go, tell it on the mountain,
over the hills and everywhere.
Go, tell it on the mountain
that Jesus Christ is born.
4. The shepherds feared and trembled
when lo! above the earth
rang out the angel chorus
that hailed our Saviour’s birth.
5. Go, tell it on the mountain,
over the hills and everywhere.
Go, tell it on the mountain
that Jesus Christ is born.
6.Down in a lowly manger
our humble Christ was born,
and God sent us salvation,
that blessed Christmas morn.
7. Go, tell it on the mountain,
over the hills and everywhere.
Go, tell it on the mountain
that Jesus Christ is born.

Devotional based on the hymn: Go Tell It on the Mountain
Verse to Remember: “Go tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere; Go tell it on the mountain, that Jesus Christ is born!”
The joyful song “Go Tell It on the Mountain” reminds us of the powerful message of Christmas: that Jesus, God’s Son, came into the world to bring hope, love, and salvation.
Why do we “go tell it”?
Because this good news is too wonderful to keep to ourselves! Like the shepherds who hurried to share the birth of Jesus, we too are called to share the joy of knowing Him with everyone around us: family, friends, neighbors, and even strangers.
What does it mean to share Jesus today?
It doesn’t mean we have to climb a mountain or stand on a street corner (though that’s awesome if you do!). It means living with love and kindness, telling others about God’s goodness, and showing the peace Jesus brings through our actions and words.
Think about this:
Every time you tell someone about Jesus, you’re lighting up the world with hope, just like the star that guided the wise men long ago. Your words can shine in dark places and help others find the way to God.
Prayer:
Dear Jesus, thank You for coming to us as a baby and bringing light to the world. Help me to be brave and joyful in sharing Your love with others every day. Let my life be a bright light that points to You. Amen.
Challenge for Today:
Find one way to “go tell it." Maybe by telling a friend why Jesus is special to you, helping someone who needs it, or simply sharing a smile and kind word that shows God’s love.

He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time. 2 Timothy 1:9
